Amazing how when we actually try to plan our life, we can’t. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try, but the fact is tomorrow is really unknown. I can try to figure out what might happen, and there are responses to actions that will occur, but there is never a sure thing. When thinking about our great country, we don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but it was well thought out.
“Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Our founding fathers saw the depravity of mankind, and took note about the dismal outcomes of several types of political systems. They understood that no system was perfect because, it was created by men for men. Order and establishments will always over time fail, not because they are well thought, but because men are depraved in their hearts, and totally selfish.
The U.S. Constitution was, and still is a bedrock that’s stood the test of 200 years, but it might not last the next 10 years, because it’s just a document. If the hearts and minds of the American people that make government move, not the document. Our problem is the American people don’t know The Constitution, and maybe don’t care, what in the world does it have to do with important things like ‘American Idol’!
