Deep Sarcasm Is Painful

The Lord has been showing me sins in my life, things that I was so callous to see clearly, and they pain me so much.  One of the big issues is my sarcasm.    I realized when I spoke to my wife of 22 years, and my kids, I used a lot of deep sarcasm.

Sarcasm is tough,  it’s very complicated, confusing, and without a grain of context, everything can be turned on it’s head.  It’s a wreckless, and it shouldn’t be used by Christians.

Jesus says:

37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.

This goes with meekness,  I need to just learn how to not talk.

First, Lord, Forgive me for using this type of speech in my common communications with others.   And to those I’ve hurt by using sarcasm, please forgive me.
