This world is pretty dark, the human condition is fallen and it’s totally self centered. If given to their own vices, humanity is pretty depraved. We see this over and over, places where Christians are shunned or removed from the society, things get pretty bleak.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

Jesus speaking to the disciples commands them to “Let your light Shine”, let people see your good works and then they are pointed to the Father. You see this is the multiplication process for Christians, we don’t need to do good works to be accepted by the Father, but we do good works to bring Glory to the Father.

Our lives should be an open book, we should find this to be our reason for living, each day we should get up and look for things to do to make this world a better place. I am called to do good works, to help the poor and needy, care for the orphans and widows, and seek Justice for those who are victims, and seek mercy for those accused.

Our hands and feet are tools of our precious savior, we need to sacrifice it all and use what we have, so God will be glorified.
