The evil one has been attacking me, and my family, for some time. The evil one is using his destructive ways, and yet he knows he can’t hurt me, but he’s trying to do everything in his power to disable me, and keep me from fighting back.

I received a text from my brother and my father, today they are fasting and praying for our family, and that God will protect us, and draw us back to Him. Please pray for us, pray for my family, pray for our churches, our communities, our nation, our world. God is in control, and we so need to petition Him for His will in our lives. Scripture is powerful:

⁶ Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, ⁷ casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. ⁸ Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. ⁹ Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. ¹⁰ And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. ¹¹ To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-11 (ESV)

4 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. ³ You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. ⁴ You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. ⁵ Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”? ⁶ But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” ⁷ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ⁸ Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ⁹ Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. ¹⁰ Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

James 4:4:10 (ESV)

Lord, I humbly come before you, pleading for protection over the hearts and souls of my family. Please Lord, let your will be done, and not mine. Use me as you will, let me see the bigger picture. You don’t allow evil to attack us without a reason, you do allow pain and suffering to get our attention.

Lord my ears are open to hear your voice, my eyes will focus on your word, my hands and feet are available to do your work. All my resources I lay at your throne, you have a purpose and plan, and I trust You alone.
