I know my idol is Pride, I am also a zealous for Truth. But if someone just want’s to spar with facts without having all the facts and perspective, I’m learning to be humble, and move on. God is in control of my life, my situations. I can’t control the mundane, such as broken wells and cars that won’t start, how can I even think I can control relationships between people.

My other Idol is comfort, this guy says “Hey, take a seat here on the couch, sit back and watch TV”. To that idol I must flee, and be industrious. When in deep trouble it’s often easier to run to comfort, than to run to the real healer of our woes, our Heavenly Father. The TV is disconnected, and the DVD’s are going away.

But above all, we must petition God, to help us, and give us strength to not succumb to the temptations we can’t handle, we must plead with Him Each Day to deliver us from the schemes of the Evil one. Each day we must turn to God and focus on the eternal, focus on the Kingdom, God’s Power and His Glory, Forever. Why? Amen, This is all Truth!

Lord, please remove temptations I can’t handle today give me the ability to overcome them later, and deliver me from the evil one, for Yours is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, Forever! Amen!
