As a Christian, your calling is three-fold: 1) to live in the world, 2) To worship God with all your ability and material possessions with an attitude of gratitude towards Christ, 3) to reproduce (this is a natural outcome of the first two ideas.) Our challenge as Christians is, that this world is a sinful wretched place, yes it’s wicked and it seems as if the wicked are outnumbering the elect.

Remember Christian, it wasn’t your power or ability that drew you to Christ, it was the work of the Holy Spirit. There was nothing in you that yearned for him, you were in darkness and God opened your eyes, he took your cold dead heart and made it new! Thanks be to God, I have been redeemed, and thanks be to God, I can endure what he allows me to endure!

When the wicked seem to prosper, Christian take heart and do what is good and righteous according to our God, the supreme author, and creator of all things. God’s plan is simple, work hard, produce and create and give God the glory. Don’t look to the world to have an answer that is better than the Bible, history is long, and it’s been done again and again with the same results.

In closing, Christians, take mindful of the things that are true, that are from God. Observe the world for not “relative truth”, but sink your fingers into “real truth”. This is one reason I like working in the garden, and making things because God gave us the ability to do those things. The world has lost truth and is seeking to create a personal truth that doesn’t match God’s reality. As Christians, we must seek God’s truth through the study of the Bible. Get encouraged by joining with other believers and study together the good God has for you!
